PROMPERÚ and SKY Airline Join Forces to Increase Tourist Flow from South America and the United States

Promperu and SKY Airline announce partnership to boost tourism to Peru.

The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) has signed a partnership agreement with SKY Airline. In addition, both organizations will work together to promote Peru as a tourist destination. This campaign is aimed at travelers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and the United States.

To begin with, the plan includes advertising activities until June 2026. It also incorporates advertisements in digital media and on the Chilean channel Canal 13. The airline will also share information about Peru on its website and in its promotional emails.

Thanks to this joint effort, 179,003 international tourists are expected to arrive. In addition, the campaign will reach more than 147 million views in the four countries mentioned.

Furthermore, the agreement seeks to offer more flight options. This will the sale of destinations within Peru. The priority regions are Arequipa, Cusco, La Libertad, Lima, Tacna, and Tumbes.

Importance of Prioritized Markets

This initiative is also part of the global “Peru Wow” campaign. With this campaign, PROMPERÚ wants to keep the world’s attention throughout 2025. To this end, it highlights Peruvian nature, culture, and food in 15 international markets, including the countries of the alliance with SKY.

SKY Airline is a Chilean low-cost airline founded in 2002. Since then, it has grown significantly. In 2019, it opened a subsidiary in Peru. It also connects several cities with direct flights. They operates 93 flights between Santiago and Lima. It also operates 44 flights between Miami and Lima, 31 between São Paulo and Lima, and 31 between Buenos Aires and Lima.

In terms of priority markets, between January and October 2025, 2,845,828 foreign tourists arrived in the country. Of these, 1,375,975 came from the four markets included in this alliance. Therefore, it is essential to continue promoting strategies that increase tourism.

Finally, PROMPERÚ continues to promote the country’s tourism offerings through initiatives abroad. In this way, it seeks to consolidate Peru as a diverse, attractive, and competitive destination in the world.
