Our Tents

Enjoy an unparalleled night’s rest in our spacious Eureka tents. While each of our tents is designed to accommodate up to four people, we assign only two people per tent during our treks, ensuring extra space and comfort for our hikers. This allows each person plenty of room to stretch out and securely store their belongings.

The A-frame design of our tents, with entrances on both sides and a front vestibule, provides easy access and an additional outdoor space to store your boots and trekking poles, keeping the interior clean and organized.

Advantages of our Eureka tents:

  • Enhanced privacy: By assigning only two people per tent, our hikers enjoy greater privacy and peace during their rest.
  • Protection and durability: Made from high-quality materials, these tents offer excellent weather protection and durability, withstanding even the most challenging conditions.
  • Quick and easy setup: Thanks to their intuitive design, the tents can be set up quickly, allowing our hikers to rest sooner at the end of the day.

Our Matts

Sleep comfortably with our trekking sleeping pad options. As a company, we provide a standard sleeping pad to each of our hikers, but if you’re looking for an extra level of comfort, you have the option to rent our Therm-a-Rest inflatable sleeping pads. These pads are lightweight, compact, and offer excellent insulation, making them an ideal choice for a more comfortable rest during your trekking adventures.

Advantages of Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads:

  • Exceptional comfort: Designed to provide high-quality support and cushioning, these sleeping pads allow you to rest comfortably, even on uneven terrain.
  • Superior insulation: With advanced insulation technology, Therm-a-Rest pads keep you warm by preventing heat loss to the ground, ensuring a cozy night’s sleep even in cold conditions.
  • Lightweight and compact: These pads are easy to carry and pack due to their lightweight design and compact size when deflated, making them ideal for long treks where space and weight are crucial.

Our Sleeping Bag

We use down sleeping bags designed for extreme cold, rated to -15°C / 5°F. These mummy-style sleeping bags provide excellent insulation and comfort in freezing conditions, ensuring a warm night’s sleep even in harsh environments.

Please note that if you are taller than 1.95 meters / 6’4”, it may be difficult to find a rental sleeping bag in Cusco that fits you comfortably. In this case, we recommend bringing your own. We provide machine-washed liners for all our sleeping bags after each use, which should be included in the sleeping bag’s weight.

Our Walking Sticks

From casual weekend hikes to extended backpacking trips in the mountains, our trekking poles expertly balance comfort, features, and affordability. The poles feature a system called FlickLock, which offers an external lever mechanism that tightens the pole sections together, creating a stronger joint and allowing for full adjustability to adapt to the changing terrain.

Specifications:

  • Weight per pair: 489 g (1 lb 1 oz)
  • Usable length: 63.5-140 cm (25-55 inches)
  • Collapsed length: 63.5 cm (25 inches)

We offer the option to rent these trekking poles, providing you with reliable and adaptable gear to enhance your trail experience.

Safety & Satellite Phones

One of the greatest benefits of trekking in the Andes is the feeling of being truly remote. Standing at the top of a mountain with only your fellow travelers is a unique experience. However, having a satellite phone in your gear provides a vital connection to the outside world, which can be invaluable in emergencies or simply to maintain minimal communication in remote areas.

It’s incredible to disconnect from work and any problems you left behind at home, knowing you have a safety tool on hand that can help you stay connected if needed. This balance between disconnection and safety adds an entirely new dimension to your adventure in the Andes.
