She also decided to get to know Peru through its food, which is why food became the focus of her visit from the moment she stepped off the plane at Jorge Chávez Airport on the evening of Friday, February 6.

Then, with a digital idea called “María la Comilona,” she told her followers all about it. She showed them traditional dishes and products from local markets.

She spoke simply and with emotion. She even said that she loves Peruvian food and compared it to Argentine food because, according to her, they are very similar in flavor and affection.

First, she wanted to try famous drinks. So, she drank chicha morada for the first time. At first, she said the smell reminded her of cola candy. But after the first sip, she called it “delicious” and laughed in her videos.

In addition, María looked at many Peruvian soups and broths. That’s why she said that the country’s food “never disappoints.” She also tried some well-known dishes. For example, she ate lomo saltado and papa a la huancaína.
