Peruvian Flavors Win Over Chilean Audiences at the 2026 Ñam Festival
Peruvian cuisine participated for the first time as a guest country at the 13th edition of Chile’s Ñam Festival. On April 10, 11, and 12, Peru showcased experiences centered on Amazonian cuisine, specialty coffees, and contemporary mixology at one of Chile’s most important culinary events.
Peru’s participation centered on the concept “Moments of Peru: Every Moment Has Its Flavor.” Additionally, PROMPERÚ promoted this presence to strengthen the country’s image as a strong and attractive culinary destination in the Chilean market.
The presentation was organized around three main themes. First, it showcased new Peruvian Amazonian cuisine, Peruvian coffees, and Lima’s nightlife offerings to highlight a blend of tradition, innovation, and regional diversity.
PROMPERÚ Executive President Freddy Solano said they were very proud to participate as the guest country at the 2026 Ñam Festival. He also noted that this festival is a very important showcase for highlighting the best of Peruvian cuisine.
Highlights of the activities included tastings of Amazonian products and charcuterie made with paiche. Additionally, there were guided coffee tastings, cocktail-making classes using Peruvian ingredients, talks, cooking demonstrations, and cultural presentations to introduce the public to different expressions of Peru.
The Peruvian delegation also served to promote the “Perú, Mucho Gusto” food fair. Currently, Chile is the main source market for tourists traveling to Peru, and a large proportion of those visitors engage in food-related activities; this year, the fair will be held in Ayacucho, Tacna, Piura, and Lima.
