PromPerú is strengthening the international promotion of Peru through 13 strategic partnerships with wholesalers, tour operators, and travel agencies, both brick-and-mortar and online (OTAs); in Brazil, Spain, the United States, France, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

These initiatives aim to raise awareness of the country’s tourism offerings, increase sales abroad, and attract a greater number of international travelers.

The campaigns will run from July through October 2026, with promotional strategies tailored to the specific characteristics of each market. They include joint advertising and other complementary initiatives aimed at reinforcing Peru’s positioning as an attractive destination, boosting its marketing in international markets, optimizing the investment made, and generating synergies across the entire tourism supply chain.

These initiatives will showcase various destinations located along the country’s coast, in the highlands, and in the jungle. Depending on the market, the campaigns will cover regions such as Amazonas, Áncash, Arequipa, Cusco, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Piura, and Puno, highlighting the variety of cultural, natural, and culinary experiences Peru has to offer.

The strategy incorporates advertising in both digital and traditional media (television, radio, print, outdoor advertising, and movie theaters), as well as trips with content creators from Spain, France, and the United Kingdom, and a familiarization trip (fam trip) with travel agents from Mexico—all with the aim of sparking greater interest in visiting Peru and boosting sales of its tourism offerings.

It is estimated that these initiatives will attract 115,714 international tourists and generate over 260 million advertising impressions, which will help expand the promotional reach of Peru as a destination and consolidate its presence in international markets.

These partnerships are part of PromPerú’s international promotion strategy and complement the “Peru Wow” campaign, which is being carried out throughout 2026 to encourage travel to the country by highlighting authentic experiences linked to its cultural, natural, and gastronomic richness, as well as an increasingly diverse and sustainable tourism offering.

The markets where these campaigns are carried out play a significant role in Peru’s inbound tourism. Between January and May 2026, the country recorded 1,369,992 international tourist arrivals, representing a 1% increase compared to the same period the previous year. Of that total, 471,591 visitors came from Brazil, Spain, the United States, France, Mexico, and the United Kingdom—accounting for 34.4% of all international arrivals during that period.

Through these initiatives, PromPerú reaffirmed its commitment to working in coordination with the international tourism industry to consolidate Peru’s position as a destination, expand its presence in key markets, and contribute to the sustainable growth of inbound tourism.
