Peru to Take Center Stage at Identità Golose 2026 in Milan
Peru has been selected as the Host Country for the Identità Golose 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious culinary congresses, taking place from June 7 to 9 in Milan, Italy. This was announced by PROMPERÚ, which highlighted that this distinction reflects the growing recognition of Peru as a world-class culinary tourism destination.
As the guest nation, Peru will have the opportunity to present the extraordinary diversity of its gastronomic heritage to European chefs, entrepreneurs, food experts, and opinion leaders. Furthermore, the goal is to position the country’s cuisine as a powerful travel incentive in its own right.
The Peruvian participation will center around the concept “Peru: The Flavor of an Extraordinary Journey.” Consequently, over the course of three days, the Peruvian booth will feature a schedule of masterclasses and tastings led by Peruvian chefs residing in Italy, alongside specialists in pisco, coffee, and cacao.
Each day will be dedicated to a distinct expression of Peruvian cuisine: ceviche as a symbol of freshness and living identity; Arequipan gastronomy as a culinary expression with character, tradition, and deep territorial roots; and Nikkei cuisine as a showcase of the creative encounter between Peruvian and Japanese traditions. In this manner, the event will promote the depth and relevance of the country’s culinary heritage, while spotlighting key tourist destinations in Lima, Arequipa, and the Northern Coast.
Ultimately, participating in Identità Golose 2026 reaffirms PROMPERÚ’s commitment to strengthening Peru’s international standing by promoting not only its renowned gastronomy but also its tourist destinations and flagship products. This presence will significantly boost the country’s tourism promotion, positioning it as a top-tier destination capable of offering authentic experiences that seamlessly integrate cuisine, history, and unique traditions.
