The lodge was recognized as the top ecolodge worldwide and the sole winner representing the Peruvian Amazon, further cementing its position as one of the most exceptional experiences in global tourism.
“We are deeply grateful for this recognition and for the trust of everyone who believes in the Amazon and what it represents for the world” said Eduardo Nycander, founder of Rainforest Expeditions. It emphasizes a hospitality philosophy that reinvents luxury with a deep appreciation and understanding of Mother Nature. At Refugio Amazonas, luxury becomes an intersection and harmony between comfort and nature, yet unspoiled. It is within these realms that luxury becomes a privilege based on understanding, appreciation, and implementation of efforts toward the sustenance and preservation of life in an ever continuing living ecosystem.
