PROMPERÚ Positions Peru’s Luxury Tourism in India’s Luxury Tribe

From March 16 to 19, PROMPERÚ participated for the second time in Luxury Tribe in Jaipur, India. This is an exclusive, invitation-only event. It brings together luxury tourism companies every year, which is why it is considered one of the most important gatherings in the Indian market.
Over the four days, PROMPERÚ was the sole representative from Latin America at the event. Four Peruvian tourism companies also attended. In total, they held nearly 185 business meetings. They also secured over 100 business contacts. This demonstrates significant interest in Peru within that market.
During the business roundtable, PROMPERÚ showcased the country’s luxury experiences. For example, it highlighted destinations such as Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Loreto, and Madre de Dios. It also showcased high-quality services such as Amazon river cruises. Additionally, it included glamping options in the Sacred Valley. In this way, Peru is positioning itself as an attractive destination for travelers from India.
Furthermore, this participation will help attract more Indian tourists, particularly those seeking exclusive experiences. It will also facilitate the creation of new professional contacts in this sector. Consequently, a positive impact on luxury tourism is expected.
These efforts are part of a strategy developed by Mincetur in collaboration with PROMPERÚ. The goal is to strengthen Peru’s presence in Asia. Additionally, they aim to attract high-spending travelers. In this way, the country is better positioned to compete in a demanding and constantly growing market.
Currently, India is the fourth-largest Asian market sending tourists to Peru. Furthermore, it has grown since the pandemic, surpassing the travel levels recorded before that period. According to Turismo In, India is a key market, as it could see a 22.2% increase in outbound travel.
