Peruvian Tourism Shines at International Fair Held in Norway
Peru participated in the TravelXpo 2026 international tourism fair, held in Oslo. At the event, it showcased its most important destinations to representatives of the Norwegian tourism market. This allowed the country to highlight its attractions to new travelers.
In addition, the Peruvian Embassy in Norway organized this participation. The fair took place from March 20 to 22 at the Nova Spektrum exhibition center. During those days, the event brought together more than 60 exhibitors linked to the tourism sector.
Meanwhile, during the fair, international tour operators such as Albatros, La’mme, and Vikinka promoted Peru’s tourism offerings to attendees. In this way, they helped showcase the country as an attractive destination for European travelers.
The event also welcomed over 27,000 visitors. It was held concurrently with the Camp Villmark fair, which focuses on outdoor activities. Thanks to this, Peru’s tourism promotion was able to reach a much wider audience.
Finally, as part of the outreach efforts, a demonstration class was organized to teach how to prepare ceviche, one of Peru’s most famous dishes. This activity was led by Peruvian chef Mariano Cerna from the Manka restaurant in Oslo. The demonstration concluded with a tasting of the dish, further promoting Peruvian cuisine.
