Peru Mucho Gusto 2026 food fairs announced for Lima, Ayacucho, Tacna, Piura and Madrid

The Perú Mucho Gusto food fairs have drawn large crowds at every edition. In addition, they have attracted visitors both in Peru and in other countries. Promperú organizes these fairs to showcase Peruvian cuisine and attract more tourists.

Promperú’s executive president, Freddy Solano, revealed the upcoming destinations. The fair will return to regions that have previously hosted this major culinary event. The schedule is as follows:

  • Perú Mucho Gusto will be in Ayacucho from June 27 to 29.
  • Tacna will host the culinary fair from July 25 to 28.
  • Piura will host the event from August 7 to 9.
  • Lima will host an edition from October 30 to November 1.
  • Additionally, Perú Mucho Gusto will return to Spain. The fair will take place in Madrid from September 18 to 20.

A Role for Tourism

The Perú Mucho Gusto food fairs already play a very important role in tourism. According to Freddy Solano, they help drive tourism within the country, from other countries, and in border areas.

Furthermore, Solano explained that these fairs create opportunities for many people. For example, they help producers, chefs, artisans, entrepreneurs, and tour operators throughout Peru.

Promperú presented the 2026 calendar for Perú Mucho Gusto. This fair is the country’s main showcase for gastronomic tourism. This year it will feature five editions. Four will be held in Peru and one in Madrid, Spain.

The launch brought together government officials, chefs, and tourism representatives. Opinion leaders and members of the media were also in attendance. Everyone learned about the latest developments regarding the upcoming fairs in Ayacucho, Tacna, Piura, Lima, and Madrid.

In addition, key government officials participated in the official presentation. Among them was the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, José Reyes Llanos. Freddy Solano, Wilfredo Oscorima Núñez, and Francis Allison Oyague were also in attendance.

Expected to attract half a million attendees

In 2025, the Perú Mucho Gusto fairs achieved strong results. That year, there were three national and three international editions. They also drew thousands of attendees and generated economic activity. They helped strengthen Peruvian cuisine in Spain, the United States, and Brazil.

However, in 2026 there will be fewer editions. Even so, the four national fairs expect to bring together more than 560,000 attendees and generate over S/37 million.

Ayacucho will kick off the culinary tour from June 27 to 29. Next, Tacna will host the fair from July 25 to 28. Next, Piura will host its edition from August 7 to 9. Finally, Lima will close the circuit from October 30 to November 1.

Similarly, Madrid will once again host Perú Mucho Gusto from September 18 to 20. This international edition will focus on Arequipa cuisine, the pisco route, and the promotion of Peruvian coffee and cacao.
