Peru continues to gain an important place in global tourism. In addition, National Geographic Signature  G Adventures chose our country as one of the six most special destinations on the planet. As a result, Peru is now part of a luxury travel offering that stands out for its care for nature and respect for communities.

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Teresa Mera, announced the news from Australia. She explained that Peru joined this group because it offers sustainability, education, conservation, and unique cultural experiences. She also pointed out that this recognition will help showcase the country as a safe and diverse destination for luxury tourism.

The minister added that this type of tourism is important because it brings more revenue to the country. That is why the government considers it a great opportunity.

What is National Geographic Signature G Adventures?

It is a collection of luxury trips for small groups. It is the result of a joint effort between G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions. These trips combine comfort with learning about nature and culture. They also include special activities within local communities. Peru stands out in this program because it offers living culture, unique landscapes, and responsible tourism.

The trips include encounters with people from each region. They also offer activities that allow visitors to learn about daily life in each place. This gives visitors a more personal and profound experience.

What will Peru Offer?

Mincetur reported that the program will feature 29 exclusive routes within the country. Each tour will showcase Peru’s natural and cultural wealth. Visitors will also be able to discover unique ecosystems, living traditions, and world-famous peruvian food.

Under the idea of “purposeful tourism,” Promperú organized a special trip to showcase these attractions. The tour will take place from November 23 to December 3. During those days, luxury tourism operators and experts will get a close-up look at Peru’s history, food, and landscapes.

Minister Mera said that this inclusion is a key step for Peru to have a greater international presence. She also highlighted that this program is highly prestigious and helps attract travelers who seek to care for the planet and support communities.
