New Cusco-Sao Paulo flight route to operate from March 2027

Rogers Valencia, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, noted that the brand-new direct flight route connecting Cusco and Sao Paulo reflects the joint efforts of Peru and Brazil to strengthen their integration.

“The confidence in Peru is a sign of this integration effort being pursued by Peru and Brazil,” the official said after attending the launch event for this new route by Latam Airlines Peru, which will begin operations on March 29, 2027.

The minister emphasized that this will be the first direct flight between the Imperial City and Brazil, and highlighted the opportunities Brazil offers as a source market for tourists.

“Brazil is one of the largest Latin American tourism markets. But it’s not just about tourism; it’s about cultural and economic integration with enormous potential,” he said.

Valencia also explained that this new air connection is part of both nations’ mutual interest in strengthening their ties. “The government of President Keiko Fujimori is very interested in Peruvian-Brazilian integration, just as the Brazilian government is. These are matters of state policy that we are working on,” he added.

For its part, Latam Airlines Peru announced that the Cusco-Sao Paulo route will operate four times a week, allowing Brazilian travelers to fly directly to Cusco without having to stop in Lima.

This new connection comes on top of the increase in flights on the Cusco-Santiago route, which will rise from seven to ten weekly flights, offering nearly 140,000 available seats in 2026.
