The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PromPerú) announced the second edition of Peru Outdoor Expo, a specialized event aimed at promoting the international marketing and sales of Peruvian adventure and nature tourism offerings.

The event will take place from September 25 to October 2 in the Amazonas region, following up on the first edition held in Áncash in 2025.

Co-organized by PromPerú and the Peruvian Association of Adventure Tourism, Ecotourism, and Specialized Tourism (APTAE), this event will bring together 40 tour operators and foreign media representatives from the United States, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Australia, who will hold business meetings with 40 industry executives in Peru.

This year’s event will be held in the Amazonas region, providing an opportunity to showcase its natural and cultural heritage, along with adventure and nature experiences at iconic sites such as the Gocta Waterfall and the Fortress of Kuélap.

Present at the event were Teresa Mera Gómez, executive president of PromPerú; Francisco Basili, president of APTAE; Anderson Santillán, representative of the Lima Coordination Office of the Amazonas Regional Government; and Christian Gutiérrez, commercial manager of ATSA Airlines.

Peru boasts a wealth of natural and cultural resources that make it possible to enjoy activities such as hiking, mountaineering, cycling, surfing, trail running, and wildlife viewing, among others.

Furthermore, this segment of travelers typically travels in groups and plans their trips in advance, setting aside time to acclimate and participate in specialized tourist activities.
