During the traditional Santuranticuy celebration in Cusco’s historic Plaza de Armas, our organization carried out a meaningful social initiative focused on children from the high Andean communities. As part of this important Christmas fair, we welcomed every child who arrived by offering them hot chocolate and panettone, creating a moment of warmth, care, and joy in a festive yet often challenging season for many families.

This initiative went beyond a simple act of sharing food. It represented our commitment to social responsibility, solidarity, and inclusion, recognizing the resilience of high Andean communities and the importance of supporting them, especially during culturally significant moments like Christmas. Our team actively participated in the preparation and distribution of the chocolate and panettone, ensuring that each child was personally attended to in a respectful and welcoming environment.

By creating this space of celebration and kindness, we aimed to reinforce values of community, empathy, and shared responsibility. Seeing the children smile and enjoy this small but meaningful gesture reminded us of the impact that collective action can have when it is guided by genuine care and purpose.

Looking toward the future, we reaffirmed our commitment by planning to expand this initiative in the coming year, including the collection and distribution of toys to further support the children of these high Andean communities. This long-term vision reflects our belief that social responsibility is not a one-time action, but an ongoing process of building strong, respectful, and lasting relationships.

Through initiatives like this, we continue to strengthen our bond with local communities and remain motivated to develop more social projects that contribute positively to their well-being, cultural heritage, and future opportunities.
